An Easter egg hunt and lots of treats made this Child & Parent Day at Silverwater Women’s one for the books!
A large group of kids arrived at the centre, ready for a fun day with mum during their school holidays.
The kids came up with a clever way to surprise their mums by hiding in the visiting area and jumping out when they arrived!
As always, lots of activities were on offer to give the kids and their mums something to focus on together and help with connection after time apart. The most popular activity was painting and decorating wooden Easter bunny baskets for the upcoming egg hunt!
After a fun-filled day, it was time for the Easter bunny to hop by, and the kids ran around during an easter egg hunt, using their brand new homemade baskets!
Everyone joined in the fun, with the mums calling out hints about where eggs were hidden, and the older kids helping the little ones.
It was a lovely day and we receieved great feedback including:
“Thank you for organizing for me to spend time with my 4mo daughter. I enjoyed the bonding experience with her.” – Mother in custody
“I loved this day as I connect with my children every school holidays”. – Mother in custody
