Excited to make presents for their families, the men got creative and helped each other with positive comments and suggestions.
First up, the group created bracelets with our facilitator teaching them how to tie the adjusting knots and put charm on.
Then they moved on to some glorious jewellery boxes with beautiful material and lots of glue!
“The whole room was a buzz with happy workers, very proud of their efforts,” said our team.
Then came the joy of sending out the gifts to very excited families!
“The feedback is always incredibly positive,” said our team.
“One carer of two little girls said the gifts and other programs, including Storytime and Child & Parent Days, have really helped to bring the girls closer to their Dad.”
“The children loved receiving their special door plaques and jewellery boxes that their Dad made especially for them and were over the moon.”
Thank you to the staff at Macquarie Correctional Centre for helping make these days always excellent.Â
