The excited children happily played board games, created crafts, and shared lunch with their dads.
The day was full of hugs and laughter (especially when one little girl taught her dad some new dance moves!), with a dad telling the SHINE for Kids team afterwards that it was “so good to see my son. I loved spending this time together”.
Child & Parent Days are extended, child-focused visits that give children missing their mum or dad in custody a chance to spend much-needed bonding time together.
The SHINE for Kids team provides activities, crafts, and, most importantly, support to the children and their parents, ensuring a positive experience for all.
