It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Bathurst, where dads recently took part in a festive Arts & Crafts session to create gifts for their children.
They threw themselves into making Christmas cards, tree decorations, and heartfelt artwork to send home so that on Christmas Day, a little piece of them would be there with their kids.
This was the first time Arts & Crafts has been run at Bathurst, and it was such a success that we’re hopeful many more dads will have the chance to pause, reflect on their children, and connect with them through handmade gifts.
“The dads showed pride when creating their craft and talked about their families in such a positive way,” said our team.
Staff at the centre were incredibly supportive and helped bring this event to life.
Reflecting on the day, one team member shared, “I smiled from start to end and everything in between. I felt like I made a difference, and that’s such a humble feeling.”
