Christmassy Playgroup with a visit from Santa!
Playgroup for mums in custody and their young children is always fun, but the last playgroup of the year was extra special because Santa paid a visit!
The SHINE for Kids team in Townville had the great joy of throwing the mums and their super-excited children a Christmas Party this year!
The area was decorated with festive cheer, with Christmas craft activities, stories, and cooking on offer.
But the highlight was, of course, a visit from Santa!
“This has been such a great day.”
When Santa walked in, there was a resounding cheer from the kids!
Santa stayed to read a story and hand out pressies to the group of VERY good kids.
The event was so important to the kids and mums as many of them won’t be spending Christmas Day together. This chance to make memories together is invaluable.
“This has been such a great day,” smiled one of the mums as she hugged her child goodbye (for now).
Our team love every playgroup, but when ones like this happen it’s just a little special, with a team member saying, “Today was a reminder of why I love my job!”
