We’re happy to once again be supporting children visiting a parent in custody at Junee.
Our friendly team member is back on hand with everything needed to make visits positive and child-friendly, from activity packs and colouring-in to age-appropriate toys
Having a dedicated SHINE for Kids staff member available during visits makes a real difference.
Families benefit from a calm, supportive environment, and children feel more comfortable, engaged and at ease.
This support helps strengthen parent-child relationships and improves children’s wellbeing.
Families were delighted to see us return! One carer shared, “I am so glad SHINE for Kids is back! This is the quietest visit I have ever had. Thank you so much.”
We’re also looking forward to reopening the SHINE for Kids drop-in centre in the new year.
The centre provides a welcoming, child-friendly space on site where families can rest before or after a visit, enjoy a cup of tea, seek support, connect with other families and let children play before a long drive home.
“As soon as we attended the first visits, it was clear just how needed SHINE for Kids programs are,” said our team.
