Christmas Magic with The Sixth Child
Wow. Our Victorian team have been blown away by the incredible donation of Christmas gifts from The Sixth Child and Creating the Magic!
Last year, thanks to The Sixth Child, we gave over 500 children gifts on behalf of their parent in prison and this year referrals are again flooding in from parents who hope to be part of the holiday season, connect with their kids and show them they love them and are thinking of them.
RISE Coordinator Natasha shared this beautiful story about a delivery last year: “One of our volunteers called us immediately following a gift delivery to a family. As it turns out, the family was on a video chat to mum at the time! The children excitedly tore through the packaging, happy they were able to share this moment with mum in real time even though she couldn’t be there in person.
They proudly displayed their haul to her, thanking her for all their cool presents and talking nonstop about how they couldn’t wait to tell their friends at school about all the amazing stuff their mum bought them.”
Thanks to this year’s amazing donation, many more moments like this will bring smiles to kids’ faces!
