One way of connecting with families was through a drawing competition and the winner would receive a 10kg block of Cadbury chocolate.
We had many children sharing drawings of their families and showing off their creativity.
It sure was hard to pick a winner.
The winner of the drawing competition was 4 year old Zara.
Zara told a little bit of her story:
“My family have been going to visit my daddy every Saturday and Sunday since visits have been back after the covid restrictions. I love going to visit my daddy because we do lots of fun things and my favorite thing is the chalk board.
When the SHINE for Kids lady gave me the drawing competition I was really excited and hoped I could win something.”
Zara was very pleased to see the 10kg chocolate arrive at her front door, mum’s words were, “Oh my goodness, what will we do with all of this chocolate”.
