SHINE for Kids welcomes the NSW Government’s announcement of an Inquiry into Community Safety in Regional and Rural Communities and has made a submission with several recommendations.Â
SHINE for Kids believes that investment in quality, holistic wrap-around services, early intervention and support, and investing in identifying and accounting for children experiencing parental incarceration will help to address crime and youth crime.
We advocate for a whole-of-government approach to addressing offending, focusing on well-established root causes and drivers, rather than treating the symptoms.
Please read our submission on the Parliament of New South Wales website.
