NSW Community Safety in Regional and Rural Communities Inquiry

SHINE for Kids welcomes the NSW Government’s announcement of an Inquiry into Community Safety in Regional and Rural Communities and has made a submission with several recommendations.

SHINE for Kids believes that investment in quality, holistic wrap-around services, early intervention and support, and investing in identifying and accounting for children experiencing parental incarceration will help to address crime and youth crime.

We advocate for a whole-of-government approach to addressing offending, focusing on well-established root causes and drivers, rather than treating the symptoms.

Please read our submission on the Parliament of New South Wales website.
